hilltop legacy vacation rental in hilo was a pleasant surprise after my previous stay. the beautiful view and garden seating area were delightful. the owners were friendly and check-in was smooth. loved playing pool in the living room!

The remodeled bathroom was a standout feature, just as depicted in the photos. The location was unbeatable, with potentially stunning views from the more expensive rooms. The garden was also lovely, adding to the overall charm of the property. Although there were many stairs, which might pose a challenge for older guests, it was fine for us. The outside lounge area looked great, though unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it due to heavy rain. The location of the house and apartment was accurately described, and we were easily guided there after a quick phone call. The view from the apartment's huge window was truly impressive. The entrance to both the house and apartment was easy, yet secure. The availability of amenities like Wi-Fi, on-site car park, cookware/kitchen utensils, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV added to our comfort. The express check-in/-out process was convenient, allowing us more time to enjoy activities like billiard tables, hiking, canoeing, fishing, snorkeling. The outdoor dining area and picnic tables were perfect for enjoying meals amidst nature. Lastly, the strict policy against pets and smoking on site ensured a clean and pleasant environment.

The location of the hotel is great, with a beautiful view of the bay. the room, specifically the Legacy Suite, is spacious, clean, and well-kept. the bed is comfortable and ensures a good night's sleep. the breakfast, although the same every morning, offers a variety of options including delicious island fruits, eggs, bacon. the hosts, especially Jade, are friendly and accommodating, providing helpful suggestions for exploring the area.

Some areas of the hotel, such as the bathroom, could have been cleaner.
